The Ashton Manor Experience

Our express mission and purpose is to encourage our residents’ own unique level of independence and to provide them with the perfect amount of customized assistance. Our Ashton Manor senior living community has three distinctive “neighborhoods” that are occupied by residents with shared abilities. Private one-bedroom apartments are available within each neighborhood.

Support is provided based upon the particular needs of each resident. Our residents who require minimal assistance with day-to-day life can enjoy a feeling of independence akin to living at home, without the chores and hassles of managing a household. Residents with Alzheimer's and dementia are provided with higher levels of care and security, including individualized programs that enrich their lives and enable them to function at their highest possible level.

Our number one priority is the safety and wellbeing of our Ashton Manor residents.

Stephanie Maxwell

Executive Director


As the Executive Director of Ashton Manor Assisted Living & Memory Care, Stephanie devotes herself to providing exceptional assisted living and memory care services to the residents she serves. Stephanie possesses over fifteen years of healthcare experience working in managerial positions for Hospice, Home Health Care, and Assisted Living organizations. Born and raised in Houma, Stephanie graduated from Vandebilt Catholic High School before continuing her studies at LSU, Delta Community College, and Nicholls State University. She is the proud mother of her 16-year-old son named Tate. Stephanie’s seasoned expertise in resident care coupled with her exceedingly caring and compassionate nature provides enormous added value to community operations and makes her the ideal leader to guide our talented Ashton Manor team.

Lisa Wilson

Director Of Health & Wellness


Lisa Wilson was born and raised in St. Charles Parish. Lisa graduated from Hahnville High School and then went on to study at Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, LA. Lisa graduated from nursing school in 2009. Lisa retired from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office with twenty-eight years of service as a nurse in the Corrections Division. Aside from working for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lisa’s work experience also consists of working at Ochsner Main Campus; Medical-Surgical Unit, for two years as well as a PRN nurse with Gifted Nurses Agency for seven years.

Lisa has been employed with Ashton Manor for the past three years.  Lisa takes great pride in being a huge part of our family-oriented environment here at Ashton Manor.  Lisa feels the staff at Ashton Manor is very professional and goes above and beyond to accommodate our residents’ daily needs.

Trudy Lopez

Activities Director


Prior to joining the Ashton Manor team as Activities Director, Trudy Kinler Lopez, a native of Hahnville and lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish, worked for the Parish. Her fifteen-year tenure with St. Charles Parish gave Trudy the opportunity to work extremely closely with its senior population, precious time that made her realize that working with seniors is her passion and purpose. Trudy has been part of the Ashton Manor family since the community’s inception, and she has established strong personal relationships with both residents and their loved ones. It is Trudy’s daily goal to create a family atmosphere that residents can truly call HOME. The love and devotion that she has for her residents is genuinely endless. Trudy is constantly coming up with crazy, exciting activities that engage her residents and allow them to bond with one another. Whether dancing to “Blueberry Hill,” auctioning toilet paper, or orchestrating a comedy fashion show, Trudy thrives on bringing copious amounts of laughter and joy to her residents. Trudy strives daily to ensure that each day is filled with the best of the best in meaningful and memorable She says that “it feels like a calling and a dream fulfilled to have the opportunity to give back to seniors who have given so much throughout their lives.”

Samantha Dufrene

Director Of Community Relations


Samantha Dufrene brings over 16 years of sales and specialized customer service experience into her role as the Director of Community Relations at Ashton Manor. Samantha’s warm and welcoming demeanor coupled with her dedication to resident satisfaction is a big part of what makes Ashton Manor truly feel like home to residents, team members, and guests.

Samantha served in a regional sales role many years before becoming part of the Ashton Manor family. She currently resides here in Luling, and she has been part of the St. Charles Parish community all of her life. Samantha is married to her husband Wade, and together they have three beautiful daughters, eight-year-old Zoie and six-year-old twins Addisyn and Braylyn. Samantha’s compassion for people and her ability to assess and meet their needs make her an invaluable asset to our Ashton Manor team.
